April 2026 | THTR1270 Intro to Theatrical Design

Objective/Problem: Create a production concept for Sweeney Todd that represents a unique understanding of the play which supports and is supported by the script.

My Role: As the scenic designer, I created elevations and ground plans for key locations in the musical, which was designed for a proscenium theater. Additionally, I had to address key scenic considerations such as the chute, quick location changes, and shift in wealth.

Skills: Script analysis, artistic vision, perspective drawing, scale, Adobe Illustrator for digital illustrations, hand-drafting techniques, problem solving.

Amélie

December 2024 | Northeastern Stage Musical Theatre Company

My Role: I was the director of this production which started from selecting the show, building a production staff, defining a vision & reason, and casting the show. From there, I music directed & blocked half the show, with the other half being done by the Music & Staging Directors. Regardless of if I was teaching, I made sure to provide creative direction and ideas for the number/scene. I also did all the scenic & projection designs for the show, ideated & fabricated the frame vision, and worked with my Producer on scheduling & communication.

Skills: Projection design, casting, artistic direction, actor coaching, scheduling, script analysis, production coordination, team leadership, music & scenic direction, visual storytelling, and cross-functional collaboration.

ANGELS IN AMERICA design

December 2024 | THTR1101 Intro to Theatre

Objective/Problem: Create a fully realized production concept in teams of four that showcases your unique understanding of the play, justifies why this play is being produced now, and is supported by the script.

My Role: As the director, I defined the thought, plot, style, and reasoning for this play now, which would then inform the three designers on my team. My vision for this production modernized the source material to address a pressing issue I developed that was adjacent to that of the story. This production concept helped me guide the scenic, costume, and lighting/sound designers on my team to create a cohesive, impactful story through visual communication.

the one act play that goes wrong

June 2022 | Franklin High School Theatre Company

My Role: This show was my directorial debut! In this role, I cast the show, selected & guided designers to tell a cohesive story, ran all rehearsals, helped actors with character work, & blocked whole show. I also served as the scenic designer which was particularly challenging for this show as the flats and elements of the stage literally fall apart (check out slide 3!). Not only was I designing and building the set, but I was also planning how to safely execute these major moments. This production pushed my leadership abilities and organized creativity to a new level.

Skills: Script analysis, casting, scenic design, actor coaching, collaboration, rehearsal scheduling, time management, adaptability, and special effects design.
