Event OVerview
NEACURH’s Regional Leadership Conference happens twice a year and invites residence hall student leaders from across the northeast together to engage in leadership development, networking, regional policy voting, awards, and more.

I served as the Conference Chair for the 2025 Regional Leadership Conference hosted at Northeastern University. In this role, I secured Northeastern as the host site, led & recruited a team of 19, served on the NEACURH Regional Board of Directors, helped chairs in the planning of over 200 conference activities, & more.
This role taught me about the importance of delegation, empowerment, and collaboration. I often had to juggle the interests of many parties, including Northeastern, the region, hotels, sponsors, vendors, etc. Overall, it was one of the most rewarding experiences for me, one that really showed the value & power of in-person engagements.

PHILANTHROPY
We partnered with the New England Coastal Wildlife Alliance to help prepare materials for their children’s educational programming on marine wildlife & coastal restoration. We also collected over 500 items to contribute to their program & restoration efforts.
Our conference schedule featured over 200 events/activities over the span of four days, here are some highlights:
DRAG SHOw
Through a strong drive and persistent outreach, I was able to organize a completely free drag show with three performers during the conference. The most ambitious part of this was having our team flip a banquet-style ballroom into a runway lined with chairs all in 20 minutes. One of the performers was a Northeastern student who was performing in drag for the first time!
EDUCATION
During the conference, there were 20 student and advisor-led educational sessions that presented on a number of topics, including sustainability, group dynamics, & conflict management. Above is me presenting my session on how to host a regional conference where I reflected on the process, shared key how-tos, & encouraged others to host.
